Dear Families:
Eastern Elementary is very excited to introduce our new “Eagle Pride” program for K-5 students. This is a research based Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports System that our staff has spent the last year developing for our students. The system is based on providing students with incentives/rewards for making positive choices while at school.
Students will earn “E-Cash” in many ways by making positive choices in the day to day school operations. Perfect attendance, good weekly conduct, principal award winners, meeting accelerated reader goals, meeting I-Ready goals, success assembly award winners, and teacher’s discretion are ways students can earn an E-Cash. At the end of the 9 weeks, students will have the opportunity to cash in their E-Cash for a variety of rewards/incentives. We are also going to have drawings at the end of the semester for gift cards students can win.
We are having a kick-off assembly on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Each child will receive their first E-Cash at this assembly. We will be singing the school song and having a visit from our school mascot at this event. We ask that you review the information on the school website and if you have any questions, please contact myself or your child’s homeroom teacher.
Sincerely,
Matthew E. Hines
Eastern Elementary Principal
